I dont play OW every week so it hasnt been a real issue but i would assume that update detects dxtory as being 3rd party and is messing everything up. It would be great if this problem was rectified since its Blizz that messed up here. You can get dxtory to hook into OverWatch while in full-screen mode if you set the delay hook option! So if you ever plan on changing a song or minimizing the game for any reason, the entirety of OverWatch crashes.
This was definitely not a problem in older builds of OverWatch. Update: hmmm, running in borderless windowed does with this way after all, you can tab away. There is a little fps drop but not a huge one. What difference does that make? I had the same issue and wanted to follow up.

In Dxtory, select edit profile. Select the application that Dxtory is causing to lag and click ignore. Now Dxtory will not lock on to that application anymore and the lag should subside. You could also close Dxtory while using those applications.
Make sure you are recording at 30 fps and not a higher number. Also, you can scale your resolution down using the scaling option in the movie tab. In general you'll want to use the bit codecs unless you have compatibility issues.
Neither makes a big difference in encoding speed. Use RawCap if and only if you want to dxtory to split your files across 2 or more hard drives increases effective write speed much like a RAID0 setup would. Unless you can always render at least 2x recording framerate, I highly recommend turning this on to avoid stuttering in your recordings.
Just input the resolution you want to record at doesn't have to match the resolution you render the game at.
